Pictured below is The Symmons Shower Valve and Retro Fit Plate, this plate allows me to cut the tile wall (or fiberglass) remove the old valve and install the new Symmons Valve.

The Symmons Valve can be rebuilt for years to come, in the event it starts to leak I can replace all parts without disturbing the wall whatsoever, I have several valves that I have rebuilt that have been in homes for over 12 years plus.

The Symmons Valve comes with a manufactures warranty of 1 year parts or valve replacement.
I am so confident with these valves that I extend the warranty on all valves, parts and 100% labor for 3 years from date of install.
To install this valve it requires me to cut the tile to allow proper fittings, soldering etc, This I do using Diamond bits to cut the tile.
TILE MUST BE IN GOOD SHAPE, NOT LOOSE AND COMING OFF THE WALL.
I also have the proper bits to cut fiberglass Tub/Shower walls to install this valve in fiberglass units.
This will be the last valve you ever have to buy!

Change To Modern Fixtures like this without remodeling your Tub Or Shower Walls, I have the proper tools and bits to cut Fiberglass or tile without cracking them.
The other alternative is to tear down the tile wall, or remove the tub and install a new one, if its fiberglass you will need to remove the walls above the tub, also the floor in front of the tub, then replace with a 3 piece tub and shower unit. The 3 piece unit has an ugly caulking line where each piece goes together. To replace the tub unit it will cost a minimum of $2500.00 to $5000.00.
The simple valve replacement as pictured is under $600.00 a fraction of the cost!

NH Plumbing Code Requires all Tub/Shower Valves be Anti Scald, Pressure Balance Valves with the proper ASSE compliance numbers Valves must turn on with cold water first.

Example: Ever flush a toilet while someone is in the shower? Does the shower water get hotter? That is not an accepted ASSE 1016 compliance valve. 3 Handle valves are no longer accepted unless there is an accepted ASSE compliance pressure balanced anti scald valve installed on the lines preceding the valve.
